Terms and Conditions - Hounslow Storage
Welcome to Hounslow Storage. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our storage services. By accessing or using our facilities, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Definitions
- Client: Any individual or entity that rents storage space from Hounslow Storage.
- Storage Unit: The designated space rented by the client for storing personal or business items.
- Agreement: The contract between the client and Hounslow Storage outlining the terms of service.
2. Storage Units and Availability
Hounslow Storage offers a variety of storage unit sizes to accommodate different needs. Availability is subject to change based on demand. Clients are encouraged to reserve their preferred unit size in advance.
2.1 Unit Assignment
Upon confirmation of your reservation, a specific storage unit will be assigned. Clients may request a particular location, but assignment is subject to availability.
2.2 Maintenance and Upkeep
We maintain all storage units to ensure they remain clean and secure. Regular maintenance is conducted, and clients will be notified in advance of any scheduled maintenance that may affect access to their unit.
3. Payment Terms
Payment for storage units is due on a monthly basis, with the first payment due at the time of reservation. Payments can be made via various methods as outlined in your account details.
3.1 Late Payments
If a payment is not received by the due date, a late fee will be applied. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of access to the storage unit.
3.2 Refunds and Cancellations
Clients may cancel their storage agreement with a 30-day notice. Refunds for unused months will be processed accordingly, minus any applicable cancellation fees.
4. Access Rights
Clients are granted access to their storage units during our operating hours. Special access arrangements can be made upon request, subject to approval.
4.1 Security
Hounslow Storage employs a range of security measures, including surveillance cameras and controlled access points, to protect client belongings. However, we are not liable for theft or damage beyond our control.
4.2 Personal Responsibility
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their items are securely packed and insured as needed. We recommend that valuable items be adequately protected prior to storage.
5. Liability
Hounslow Storage strives to maintain a safe and secure environment. Nevertheless, we limit our liability regarding the stored items to the total amount of monthly storage fees paid by the client.
5.1 Insurance
Clients are encouraged to obtain insurance for their stored items. Proof of insurance may be required before securing a storage unit.
5.2 Damage and Loss
In the event of damage or loss, clients must notify Hounslow Storage immediately. An investigation will be conducted to determine the extent of liability.
6. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being stored at Hounslow Storage:
- Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable, corrosive substances)
- Perishable goods
- Illegal items or substances
- Items of high monetary or sentimental value without proper insurance
Violating these provisions may result in immediate termination of the storage agreement.
7. Termination of Agreement
Either party may terminate the storage agreement in accordance with the payment and cancellation terms outlined above. Upon termination, clients must remove all items from their storage unit by the specified date.
7.1 Abandonment
If a client abandons their storage unit or fails to remove items after termination, Hounslow Storage reserves the right to dispose of the contents at the client's expense.
7.2 Renewal
Storage agreements automatically renew on a monthly basis unless notice of termination is provided. Clients will receive reminders prior to renewal to ensure continued satisfaction with our services.
8. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hounslow Storage operates. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
9. Amendments
Hounslow Storage reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
11. Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the client and Hounslow Storage regarding the use of storage services. Any prior agreements or understandings are superseded by this document.
